Following are my ratings on 10 Chardonnays and 10 Cabernet Sauvignons in
the "fighting varietal" category. They were tasted "blind" in flights of five
at a wine-tasting class taught by Chris Zaborowski, a local wholesaler, at
Bellarmine College in Louisville on March 28, 1989.
Prices are full, undiscounted Kentucky retail. Appellation is assumed to
be California unless otherwise noted. The wines are listed in order of my
preference within each varietal.
